Ad Rewards – v17.1.1 📱

Howdy, Crewmates!

Admin has a small update, v17.1.1, for mobile devices only. With this release, ad rewards are starting to roll in for the Android and iOS versions of Among Us.

This is a phased released. This means you might not see it yet, but by end of day Friday (December 5th, 2025), all mobile users should have this update! (Unless you are on a guest account, need parental permissions, or in a country that doesn’t support them.)

What Is This?

We heard your screams of despair. Stars cost real world money, and a lot of you were bummed you weren’t able to get some of our special Cosmicubes because of this! So we put our one braincell together: is there a way we could give you Stars without directly paying? And the answer was: advertisements. (Yay, attention economy…?)

BUT! We wanted ads to be completely optional. Non-intrusive. Don’t give up your time if you don’t want to. Life is hard enough with Impostors. So, we added a ✨button✨. Here’s how it works:

• CLICK THE STAR BUTTON: When you do, you’ll be shown an ad. As thanks, you’ll receive 1 Star (our premium currency) for free! This is automatically added to your inventory. Side effects include seeing an ad.
• ADS ARE OPTIONAL. You can play Among Us on mobile without ever watching an ad. Just don’t click the Star button and it can’t hold you hostage and force your visors to be flooded with capitalism. Fun!
• MOBILE ONLY. Due to limitations, ad rewards are only available on mobile and to verified accounts (no guest accounts) and/or child accounts with full permissions. Don’t forget you can always link your mobile accounts to your PC and Xbox accounts if needed.

You can only watch up to 3 ads a day – Crewmates have lots of tasks to get done and Impostors to escape from! We hope this change stops Stars from being too much of a blocker on getting your favorite cosmetics in the future. We’ll be keeping an eye on if this works and continue to make improvements for you – everything is subject to change!
